After returning home from her LDS mission in Madrid, Spain, Sydney attended Utah State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Human Development and Family Studies. With over 10 years of experience working with kids of all ages as a nanny and an educator, she is passionate about finding joy in both the good and bad of motherhood.
With a deep desire to be a mother herself, she was so excited to see her first positive pregnancy test. She was even more blown away when she was told she was having identical twin boys at her first appointment. At her 16 week appointment she was devastated when she was told that neither baby had survived the pregnancy, which resulted in a D&C miscarriage.
As the news and reality set in, new depths of sadness and pain led to issues including postpartum depression and anxiety. Even after receiving her second positive pregnancy test a year later, the news brought some joy but more anxiety and worry, which continued until she was able to finally hold her beautiful baby girl safely in her arms.
Sydney loves her role as a mom and deals with the everyday pressures that come with the job. She feels the deep love and deep fatigue. Feeling lost, uncertain, and anxious in her career and personal life, she wondered who she was other than a mom.
She has navigated the challenges that come with having children, had to overcome self-doubt and insecurities, implement positive parenting skills, and through coaching, has been able to step into her true self. Even with the good days and the bad, she finds peace and wisdom in her mindset, and truly loves her life.
“Sydney is exactly the kind of person you want coaching you. She is able to make you feel comfortable in any situation, while still pushing you to improve and be better. She is confident, smart, empathetic and truly cares for those around her. She is not only a great teacher but an amazing listener and able to pick up on what each individual person is needing. She is always able to put a smile on your face and make you feel like the most important person in the room. She has been through many hard trials in life and has only come out stronger.”
“Sydney is amazing! She has such a welcoming and warm personality and really invests the time she spends with you. She’s also an incredible listener and will make sure you feel heard and understood. I love her and have benefitted immensely from the time I’ve spent with her!”
“Sydney is an amazing listener. Whenever I talk with her I always feel listened to because she asks questions to further understand what I am trying to relay or how I feel. And she does this intelligently, which makes me feel better about wanting to share. As a result, after listening to me and qualifying, solidifying and understanding my feelings, when Sydney offers suggestions or advice, I in turn pay close attention and try to implement what she has suggested. To me, this is what makes her a great coach.”
“Sydney Boyd is so gifted in her ability to understand and listen to your needs. She asks the right questions and helps you see how to overcome obstacles all while empathizing with your specific needs. She recently helped me roll play a difficult conversation I needed to have with a friend. She helped me realize I can have hard conversations and at the same time solve the problem with love and compassion. After talking with Sydney I had the confidence and clarity to handle a hard situation. I would highly recommend her.”
“Sydney Barton is a great coach. She recently has helped me with my friend problems. She listens very well and hears what I have to say. She gave me a few option on what to do to handle my difficult situation and I would say that since having her help I handled it a lot better than I would have without her help.”
HOW COACHING WORKS
FIRST - Set up one introductory appointment with a Coach and give coaching a try. See if you like it and the Claritypoint approach.
If you like it, you have a couple options:
Small Group Coaching - These groups have 4-6 women or men. The sessions are done by conference call, every other week for six months. (So you can do the program from the comfort of your home.)You spend 1.5-2 hours with your coach learning the material, having discussions and experiences together as a group. You also have daily homework in between sessions. This consists of a small reading assignment and some journal writing. Many people love the group format because they learn so much from each other and make some great friends. This is the most inexpensive way to experience coaching.
Executive Life Coaching - You can work with a coach one on one, meeting weekly to experience the Claritypoint process in it's most life changing format. You will gain rock-solid self-esteem, communication and relationship skills, time management, motivation repair, and cure your fear of failure forever. This process will be customized to fit your specific needs and schedule.
